1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Text2Resume ("the Service"), operated by Text2Resume ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Text2Resume is an AI-powered resume editing agent that helps users create, edit, and tailor resumes. The Service includes features such as AI-assisted content editing, job posting analysis, resume tailoring, multiple export formats, and collaborative editing tools. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

3. Account Terms

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Maintain only one account per person (duplicate accounts may be terminated)

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Credits and Payment

The Service uses a credit-based system. Credits are required to use AI-powered features. By purchasing credits, you agree to the following:

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Prices are displayed in your selected currency at the time of purchase
  • Credits are non-transferable between accounts
  • Unused credits do not expire while your account remains active
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to suggest edits, generate content, and provide resume feedback. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated suggestions may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not reflect your actual experience
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated content before using it
  • AI suggestions are not professional career advice, employment counseling, or guarantees of employment outcomes
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will produce any particular result in job applications
  • You should not include false or misleading information in your resume, regardless of whether it was suggested by the AI

6. Third-Party AI Providers

To deliver our AI features, your resume content and chat messages are processed by third-party AI providers, including Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT models), and Google (Gemini models). By using our AI features, you acknowledge that:

  • Your content will be transmitted to these third-party providers for processing
  • Such processing is subject to each provider's own terms of service and data policies
  • We are not responsible for how these providers handle data beyond our contractual agreements with them

7. User Content and Data

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or input into the Service, including your resume content, personal information, and any other materials. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You may export your resume data at any time using the export features available within the Service. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, functionality, code, visual elements, logos, and branding, is the exclusive property of Text2Resume and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Transmit harmful, malicious, or offensive content
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
  • Use the Service to generate spam, fraudulent documents, or misleading content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service or credits
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service

10. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEXT2RESUME SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Text2Resume, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or without interruption. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these terms, is harmful to other users or the Service, or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the Service shall first be resolved through good faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may bring the dispute before the courts located in the State of Delaware, and both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you must stop using the Service.
